Santos GLNG is helping to develop the next generation of Central Queensland’s leaders through a leadership program, focused on building the capabilities of our region’s young leaders by giving them the opportunity to engage with likeminded students from other schools, build leadership skills, and plan and implement innovative projects in their schools.

Santos Field Trainer and Assessor, Rodney Jurd and students from Gladstone Region Primary School.
The primary school program aims to equip year six students with important skills as they take on new roles and responsibilities in their schools.
Santos GLNG CEO Stephen Harty said the program will help teach students about leadership mindsets and values, including the need to work together.
Student leaders will each receive a special journal to help develop new skills, including self-reflection and journaling.
“These journals are a combination of a gratitude journal, mood journal and a daily planner,” Stephen said.
“These journals are a great tool for our young leaders to practice mindfulness, and we’re really excited to have been able to purchase one for every student participating in this year’s program.”
This is the second year Santos GLNG has supported the school program. To learn more about the program click here.
