Over the weekend, the Santos GLNG team raised over $7,500 at the annual Mount Larcom Show - Woodchop and Chainsaw barbeque.
Santos GLNG have sponsored the Woodchop and Chainsaw Racing events since 2011, even providing funding in 2015 to build the Woodchop & Chainsaw Pavilion. This year’s event saw over 10,000 patrons come through the showground gates to enjoy food, ringside activities and stalls, horses, cattle motorbikes and fireworks.
In addition to the annual sponsorship of the event, Santos GLNG’s Downstream Operations team members from both Gladstone and Brisbane offices volunteered and assisted with selling sausages and burgers to the local community. All funds raised from the event are donated to Mount Larcom Show Society.
Our Gladstone Community Relations Adviser Carey McIntosh said from the woodchop to the barbeques, to sideshow alley and the rides, the Mount Larcom Show is a highlight on the community calendar.
“We’re happy we can make valuable contributions to the communities where we operate and will be part of for the long-term,” Carey said.
“Our employees live and work in the region and many volunteer their time at the show each year”.
We look forward to continuing our partnership with Mount Larcom Show in 2024, ensuring our Woodchop and Chainsaw events are even bigger and better with the National Titles.
