We’re excited to shine the spotlight on Graeme Easton, Pipeline Operator for our Gas Transmission Pipeline (GTP), who recently celebrated an incredible milestone of 35 years with Santos.

Graeme’s journey with the company began in 1990 when he started as a Pipeline Operator on the Jackson to Moonie Pipeline – an 800km line transporting crude oil from the Jackson Oil Field in the Cooper Basin to the Moonie Oil Facility, approximately 300 kilometres west of Brisbane.

Soon after, Graeme was seconded to Santos GLNG and relocated to Roma, where he has been working ever since.

In his role as a Pipeline Operator, Graeme is responsible for operating and maintaining the integrity of high-pressure transmission pipelines, essential infrastructure that transports gas from the fields to our GLNG Facility on Curtis Island, and the domestic market.

One of the aspects he particularly enjoys is working with cathodic protection systems, which prevent corrosion and help ensure the long-term durability of our pipelines.

Graeme also plays a key role in pipeline integrity through In-Line Inspection (ILI) Tool runs on pipelines ranging from four to42 inches in diameter across various Santos assets.

He is actively involved in the subsequent dig-up and repair programs, which are critical to maintaining the safety and reliability of the network.
