In late August, our Gladstone team came together to support an often-overlooked group in our port community, the international seafarers.

The team donated 100 amenities bags to the Gladstone Seafarers Centre, each thoughtfully packed with essentials such as shampoo, toothpaste, lip balm, body wash, deodorant, and socks. These everyday items can make a big difference to seafarers who spend months at sea, often far from the comforts of home.

The Gladstone Seafarers Centre is a locally run Human Rights and Welfare charity that supports the thousands of seafarers passing through the Port of Gladstone each year. Staff and volunteers visit crews on board their vessels and welcome them to the Centre, a safe space where they can shop for necessities, connect with loved ones back home, or simply take a break from life onboard.

This donation is just one way our team is helping to make life a little easier for those who help keep global trade moving.
