Matt joined GLNG Operations Pty Ltd (GLNG) as Chief Executive Officer in September 2026 and is responsible for the overall management, safety, and operation of GLNG’s assets.

Matt is an experienced energy executive with more than 25 years’ experience across LNG, natural gas and infrastructure markets in Australia, Asia, Europe and North America. Matt returns to GLNG in the role of CEO having previously held senior leadership positions with Santos and GLNG during the business’s formative years where he helped shape GLNG’s development and growth. 

Matt has held chief executive and senior executive roles across the energy value chain, leading strategic investment, business transformation and infrastructure development, with a strong focus on operational performance, safety, governance and sustainable growth.

His deep understanding of energy markets is complemented by extensive experience working with customers, investors, governments and joint venture partners globally. He is recognised for building high-performing organisations and delivering long-term value in complex operating environments.
